    1. I think the biggest chang Muhammid made for himself and others was going to jail instead of going to the war. He didn't believe in what they were fighting for so he didn't fight.

2.One connection I can make between myself and the book is that i wish i had somthing like he dose to be that deddicated to and to work that hard at that really insipires me.

    3. would you have rather gone to jail or faught in the war?

  3. 1) I believe that Muhammad Ali changing his religion was the biggest change he made. It impacted himself as well as others.
    2) One connection I can make to the book is that Muhammad has the ablility to fight for what he believes and what he does well. I try to do that everyday!
    3) Christine--I would have deffinatly fought in the war because it is my country and I have faith in it! I would also be honored to fight for such a wonderful country.
If you changed your religion, would you tell people, or just keep it to yourself and family?Tanner W.

  4. 1.I think the biggest change Muhhamad Ali made during his life was his name because it made the American people think that during a time of war one of their American heroes was abandoning them for the Nation of Islam.

2.I can relate to Muhammad Ali in his work ethic in sports, because while i'm not always the best at what I do I try as hard as I can to be the best I can be.

3.Do you think that throughout his career Muhammad Ali was too cocky and should have been punished for comments he made regarding his opponents?

Would you have rather gone to jail or fought in war?
If i were in Muhammad Ali's position I would have gone to the war because even though it was against my religion I wouldn't actually be fighting and killing other people, just fighting for the soldiers amusement.

  6. I believe that Muhammad made a change by not going to the war. He showed people that you dont have to fight for what you dont believe in.

  7. 1) I think the biggest change for Muhammid Ali would be his religon change. It effected not only himself, but others around him.
    2) a connection i can make from this book would be is that he stood up for what he believed in and proved to everyone that he didn't change himself, he was still a great boxer. It was just his religon that changed.
3)how would you have acted if you were Muhammid Ali and had lost your first fight to Joe Frazier?
    4) Tanner- yeah I would tell people. If it was something i believed in, then i wouldn't care what anyone says about it.

  8. I think that the biggest changed Muhammad Ali made was changing his religion. This change impacted himself and others. One connection that I made from the book to myself was that Muhammad Ali believed in himself, and thought that if he put his mind to something, he could do it. I believe that too.
My question is would you ever consider having a career in boxing?
Tanner- If I changed my religion, I would probably tell people because if I believe in something, I would want to be open about it and let people know that I am commited to my beliefs.

  14. I think that muhammid change the world by standing up to the people who try to send him togo to war but he didn't want to go so he instead went to jail.

  15. 1. I think the bigger challge clay has to face was standing up for what he belives in. Like when he changed his name for his religion and others didn't like it. He wasn't afraid and he espcially didn't change his name back. With that others respect him and he changed how people think when he didn't go to war. 2.Like Muhammad Ali I know how to stick to my opions and not let anyone else change my mind and not let anyone else tell me other wise. Question : How did all this fame end up changing his families life? I do think that Ali should always be named the greatest for everything he did and went through to get to the top

  18. 1. I think that the biggest change that Muhammad Ali made was changing his religion to Muslim. This greatly impacted him. One way that it impacted him was that he changed his name. He was also impacted in boxing because of this change. Many sportswriters wrote nasty things about him and he lost many fans.

    2. One connection that I can make to Muhammad Ali is that I try to work hard at what I do. He has always worked really hard throughout his entire life at boxing and at many other things. I think that everyone should try to do there best at whatever they're doing whether they are playing a sport or just doing school work.

3a Do you think that Cassius Clay Jr. would have have been a boxer or ever become Muhammad Ali if his bike hadn't been stolen?

3b Tavares question was What do you think Muhammad Ali would do if he did not box?
My answer is: I think that if Muhammad Ali didn't box that he would have become more envolved in the Nation of Islam and would have become more of a Civil Rights activist.
