  1. A challenge that mattie has been through is when Polly died. also when her mom has the fever. Another challenge wAs when her grandfather didn't wake up bt he did eventually did but it Added to her stress levels. I predict that matties mother will die of yellow fever and her grandfather will be diagnosed with fever. MAttie will be devastated if her mother dies and if her grandfather gets the fever.

  2. A challenge that the main character, Mattie, has faced is dealing with the death of her father. Her "cradle friend", Polly, also died of the yellow fever. Mattie's mother got the yellow fever and she wasn't let through a city because her grandfather had it. I think that Mattie will have to move on by herslf, because I predict that her grandfather and mother will die. Mattie will just have to shake it off and continue on with her life's journey. Where does Mattie have to travel?

  3. A challenge that Mattie Cook, the protagonist in Fever 1793, went through is when her mother was diagnosed with Yellow Fever and she had to leave Philadelphia with her grandfather. A future conflict that Mattie will face is getting Yellow Fever. But, I believe that Mattie will be strong and her immune system will be able to fight off the disease. I also think that she will be reunited will Nathaniel Benson. Where is Mattie going to go now that the farmer kicked her and her Grandfather out of the carriage? Will she and Grandfather stay where they are until someone comes to help them, or will they travel back to Philadelphia?

  4. in fever 1793, mattie cook who is the protagonist who is the daughter of lucille cook. Mattie's family would be better off if her father hadn't died by breaking his neck when he fell of a latter. Matties mom owns a coffee house in which mattie is practically worked to death, not only that mattie is only 15 and her mother complains about everything she does. That is untill the dreaded yellow fever hits Philadelphia and with in a few days her is diagnosed with yellow fever. so matties mom orders her to flee to the country side.

  5. The Yellow Fever caused many problems for Little Mattie and the people close to her. The Yellow Fever killed Molly, diagnosed her mother, and lost business for their cofee shop. Another loss for their family is the loss of their father, when he fell of a latter and broke his neck. The loss of there father completely changed there mother. She used to be caring and gentle, now she just argues with Mattie. All of these losses teaches her many great aspects in life and will help her in her desicion to escape the ill city of Philidelphia.

  6. A challenge the Mattie, the protagonist in Fever 1793, is when her mother is diagonesed with yellow fever. This makes her grandfather and her both be banished to the country and tere they face many challenegs along the way. Another challenge for Mattie was always wondering where Nathinel is and how he is doing. She really cares about him and I wish the she could just find out if he was okay. This would take away all the worries in her life. She would be able to breath. I am perdicuting that Mattie's mom will die and that she will never go back to the coffehouse. I think she will live in the counry because she finds a found love for it there. This will at first be very diffiult for her but as time goes on she will grow to apperciate her life and live it to its fullest. What will mattie's new life in the country bring her and how will she live with just her grandfather?

  7. A problem that Maddie aces in when people she knows begin to get infected with yellow fever. For example her mom gets infected and she goes crazy when she is banished to the country along with her grandpa. I predict that Maddie's mom will die and Maddie will find it impossible to ever go back to the coffe house because of all of the sad memories she holds there. This will make it hard for Maddie to return home and resume any kind of life she once had or would have ever had in Philideplhia
